I was here last night and had a great time with my good friend! A very small, quaint bar that has a few tables for parties. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it-I got a shrimp po'boy sandwich. Both the food and drinks (alcohol) were delicious, and the staff is so nice! They came to check on us often, and were kind from the time we arrived. It was "old school r&b/reggae" night with a DJ arriving after 9pm. That was my second time coming to Southern Flair and is now my new spot!

We recently stopped by Southern Flair Pub located at the corner of Kempsville Road and Volvo Parkway to grab a bite to eat. It wasn't very busy so we were able to get a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was friendly and she offered suggestions for drinks and food items. My wife ordered the wings and she enjoyed them very much. They were cooked perfectly, the sauce was slightly spicy and they were served piping hot. I had the barbecue sandwich with collard greens. This is a large portion so I opted to ditch the bun so that I could enjoy the tasty barbecue. The collard greens were seasoned perfectly and I really enjoyed them. Check out Southern Flair in Chesapeake for a wonderful meal that you might not find at other places.

Before I begin, I would like to say that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone.. so with that being said let's do it!. The place is small, yet big enough to hold a nice size group of people comfortably. The vibe is positive and inviting as well. I wasn't hungry so I didn't order anything. My wife ordered crab bites and sweet potato fries. ( you know I helped her eat them, so they don't got to waste! ;-) I left off a star because there is only one waitress and she was being stretched thin with the amount of people that attended this going away event! I would return to hang out and relax again if I'm in the area...

My husband & I went on a date night there we never been there before. I didn't know anyone there, and we had a blast with the bartender Lisa ! not only did she make a great drinks. She gave great hospitality. We had a great time there thanks to Lisa. Def will be going back she made us feel at home . The vibes are chill & cool there too ! We have to try the food next We heard its amazing!

This is probably my favorite neighborhood bar. I can only speak too Thursday and Friday nights. Thursday: Old School Night. DJ is spinning records in all decades including 60, 70, 80s mostly but a little 90s. Crowd over 40 with lay back vibes. Bartender is the bomb with awesome personality that will make you feel like home. Fridays: It is two shifts. First shift like before 8, lay back happy hour atmosphere similar to Thursday with upbeat music from the juke box. When the DJ comes, second shift comes too. Still older crowd but it gets turned up mighty fast. It is a sight to behold with some of the outfits. Smoking: they have a patio out front where all types of smoking goes down. Food: Very good. They know what they doing in that kitchen Dranks: Plan accordingly because they pouring them drinks like your drunk Uncle who came over your house and grab a bottle from your top shelf. Overall, this not a spot to come if your feeling boogie or uppity about yourself. But if you want to party and socialize with good folks who ain't trying to impress nobody, you will have a good time.

Nice atmosphere on Friday nights. It reminds me of a night club minus the dancing. The DJ was great & the bartenders were very friendly too. There are signs asking customers to stand 6' apart, but no one did. The place was PACKED at one point with no seats available. We sat at the bar. The food was pretty good. I ordered shrimp and fries & my friend had crab cake bites. Both were good, but the fries were cold. I truly enjoyed myself. I just didn't care for the weed smoking outside. I understand it's legal, but not everyone wants to smell it. It started to make its way inside & we ended up leaving. I'd definitely go back to enjoy the DJ in the future.

Southern Flair Friday night at 8pm came to meet up with friends... Mask up patrons and staff!!! Friday 8pm Bartender names : Tiara/ Jodie Philly steak and cheese egg rolls with cheese sauce Hot wings served With fries and ranch - not my favorite the sauce was okay and the meat was mushy Hot wings served with fries $10.00 - can't go wrong with these BBQ SANDWICH $6.99 3/4 served with coleslaw and fries was told bbq and coleslaw made in house had a good flavor wish it was hot and not room temperature Overall review I would come back for drinks and maybe the wings and the DJ was awesome! DJ red carpet capo definitely was a vibe !!! Try them out !!
